Job Description: Network Engineer
Veratech has an position opening for a Network Engineer position in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is on a contract-to-hire basis. Secret Clearance or higher is preferred; if no clearance must be able to be cleared.

The successful candidate will be working with a multitude of technologies and will be involved in various activities including LAN design, implementation, monitoring, and support of network/communications devices and applications. The Network Engineer will support multiple projects.
Provide Cisco network design and implementation support to include all aspects of routing, switching, and security architecture.
Provide Cisco DMVPN implementation and testing support.
Provide implementation support and testing for Cisco ISE network authentication.
Provide Data Center network design, implementation, and testing support.
Provide written documentation support for all projects as required to include design documents, network diagrams, and security-related documents per project requirements.
Perform network engineering duties on-site at the Company customer location.
Provide project support at the direction of Program Manager in the area of network design, testing, and implementation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A U.S. Government Security Clearance will be required.
Bachelors or Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years network experience designing, implementing, monitoring, troubleshooting and performing systems administration.
Strong knowledge of networking and communications concepts and technologies.
Proven experience managing complex network environments in support of all enterprise communications, collaboration and IT systems.
Experience installing, configuring, and administering networking devices in an enterprise environment, including switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
Strong knowledge of high-availability and failover configurations.
Strong knowledge of security best practices, and experience designing and implementing secure networks.
Knowledge of and experience with voice protocols and unified communications systems.
Network security operations experience.
Experience working with Cisco devices including Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, and ASA.
Excellent troubleshooting skills. Proficient at analyzing TCP Dump, Wireshark and other packet capture software.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Excellent documentation skills.
Works well independently as well as in a team. Proven experience working directly with leadership and end users.
Experience with F5 APM, Juniper, SolarWinds and PRISM.
Cisco CCNA, CCNP certifications preferred.
