Veratech Services has a fulltime position opening for an PSIM/ Network Engineer position. The professional will work in the Chantilly, VA area.

The PSIM/Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining workflow and business logic for complex systems, determining root cause of complex network and system problems, resolving day to day system issues and providing a proactive approach to general system administration while identifying enhancements and efficiencies.




The PSIM/Network Engineer works closely with customers to evaluate new hardware and software for integrations.

Candidate must have at minimum an active TS clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph at the required level.

Candidates with current Polygraph preferred.

Bachelors degree in IT, Engineering, networking or prior trade school, military experience required

Minimum 2 yrs working with PSIM Software to include adding and configuring new sites and sensors in PSIM

Develop Business Logic, response workflow, and system reports and ability to understand work flows of alarms and sensors

Write Powershell scripts, Python and ability to work with other code languages

Identify and address system bugs

Overall System administration with developed infrastructure

VMWARE Management

Proximex/ PSIM Administration / Maintenance

Administer SQL, MySQL database

Test new system interfaces and maintain test systems

Develop documentation and test procedures

Lead new integrations, software updates, and implementation efforts

Program, repair, and modify code in various system devices and middleware

Maintain system infrastructure

Respond to trouble calls, tickets

Perform minimum of tier 2 maintenance




Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Math or Physics is preferred.

2. Minimum requirements: Two to six (2-6) years of experience troubleshooting medium to large scale network and systems with a heavy emphasis on complex issue resolution.

3. Experience with MS Windows Server and Active Directory is a must.

4. Candidates must have the ability to develop technical documentation in support of system maintenance.

5. Experience with virtualization is desired.
